Oakleigh
Historic Complex
Costumed guides lead you through an intimate
experience of 19th century Gulf Coast living
in an authentic setting. Oakleigh, Mobile’s
Official Period House Museum, circa 1833,
is filled with furnishings and accessories
such as those gracing the homes of that romantic
era. There’s also the Cox-Deasy Creole
Cottage, ca. 1850, and the Mardi Gras Cottage
featuring collections of that favorite coastal
celebration.
